Injury update on Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has resumed training according to the club’s goalkeeping coach John Achterberg.

The Brazilian was forced off with an injury during Norwich’s game and was replaced by summer signing Adrian.  On Wednesday Achterberg revealed that the Brazilian has resumed training and is doing some catching and footwork drills.

“In the last few days, he has been out on the pitch to do some catching and footwork, as well as small passing drills,” he said.

“He has made steady progress. It needs time and we cannot look too far ahead, so we take each day as it comes, see how he feels, and then make progress from that.”

The good news for the Reds fans is that Alisson is back in training, but judging by Achterberg’s comments, the club will be taking it slowly in terms of his involvement.
