Ghanaian striker Christopher Antwi-Adjei has reflected on his dream coming true to be a professional footballer plying his trade in the Bundesliga.
The SC Paderborn 07 forward according to Ghanasoccernet kickstarted his career on the streets playing with his friends.
Fast forward to two years ago and Antwi-Adjei found himself playing for TSG Sprockhövel in the German fifth-tier league.
Reports revealed that he was 'accidentally' discovered by a football scout when he featured in the Westphalian Cup match against SC Paderborn
Antwi-Adjei inspired SC Paderborn to two successive promotions before earning a place in the Bundesliga.
"It's true, I did not become a professional until I was 23 years old. Many others are already playing 17, 18 or 19 in the first or second league,” the Ghanaian said.
“Hardly anyone would have expected me to become a Bundesliga player again.
Childhood dreams do come true if you are willing to work for it and be patient and Antwi-Adjei exclaimed: "Now I have done it."
