Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has tipped Fred for greatness at the club after his impressive performance against Astana.
The Brazilian midfielder started his first game this season and made the most of his chances as he assisted Mason Greenwood's winner in the second half. With Paul Pogba's fitness still uncertain, Fred is likely to start in the weekend league encounter against West Ham United after coming on as a sub in the 1-0 win over Leicester.
Speaking in a post-match press conference, Solskjaer assessed Fred's performance, "He's improving. He's getting better and better, fitter and fitter and it's great to see he's confident enough on the ball. And he's a tenacious little midfielder, he's good on and off the ball. And he'll come good for us."
United face West Ham on Sunday 22nd September at the London Stadium in a 4 PM (EAT) kick-off.
