Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened up on his squad selection for Thursday night's Europa League clash against AZ Alkmaar.
The Norwegian will lead his side in their second Group L match in the Netherlands, hoping to make it two wins out of two.
The Reds took a 21-man squad to the Netherlands for the game at ADO Den Haag's Cars Jeans Stadium, with a host of young players expected to play.
Tahith Chong, James Garner, Angel Gomes and Diogo Dalot are all in the squad, with Solskjaer expected to name a relatively young side.
The coach further revealed some of his first-team stars will miss out, notably Paul Pogba, who only returned to action last week.
“We've had Anthony out and I don't think he'll make it,” said Solskjaer. “Luke is training but I don't know if he'll make it. We'll speak more after the game as the sole focus is on getting the result we need here,"
Ole hinted at starting Juan Mata, who faced the media alongside him, to work with some of his younger colleagues.
“It's an important game for us to get a result in,” he noted.
“One or two of our youngsters will get another chance to impress. They all want to be part of a long future here and these games are a chance for that.
”We'll have a mix of experience and youngsters,"
United are currently on top of their group following their win against Astana, with Alkmaar second on a single point, same as Partizan.
