Ghana’s Jordan Ayew looks to be headed for his best Premier League season.
The Crystal Palace striker scored his third goal of the season in eight games- as Palace defeated West Ham 2-1 London on Saturday.
Ayew’s typically hard-running and laborious performance was rewarded on 88 minutes. The Ghanaian made a smartly-timed six-yard box entry to receive Martin Kellly superbly headed assist.
Ayew kept his cool to open his body and passed the ball in the net to hand his side a dramatic win. The linesman thought he had spoilt Ayew's moment by wrongfully flagging for offside - but the Video Assistant Refereee (VAR) overulled the decision in favour of the Ghanaian.

The victory lifted Roy Hodgson's Eagles to sixth place above the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Ayew’s top three seasons:
- 2014/15: 12 goals, seven assists (FC Lotient - France)
- 2017/18: Seven goals, two assists (Swansea)
- 2015/16: Seven goals, zero assists (Aston Villa).
Ayew’s chance to find a fourth goal of the season will be on Saturday 19 October. Palace will be at home to wounded champions Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
