Uganda international Farouk Miya scored a brace as Konyaspor went on to secure a 4-1 victory over Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig at the weekend.
Miya scored in 45th and 63rd minute to inspire Konyaspor to move up second on the log with 12 points from seven matches played.
The Uganda Cranes forward now finds his tally on four goals and is the third top goalscorer in the Turkish Super Lig.
Omer Ali Sahiner who scored the first goal of the match at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium to put Konyaspor in the lead after just 20 minutes after a VAR review.
Marko Jevtovic later doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 44th minute after Kasimpasa’s defender failed to clear the ball on time.
Miya then found the third as he pounced on a blocked shot two minutes later. Just before the teams could head to the dugout, Veysel Sari pulled one back for Kasimpaşa.
In the second half, both sides had some decent chances but Kasimpasa were left hopeless after Miya converted from the spot in the 63rd minute.
