Manchester United youngster Scott McTominay has been impressed by the club's other young guns, who have made a successful step-up from the academy team.
The Scot is among the few who've made the step-up in recent seasons and is currently enjoying a fantastic campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Speaking to the club's website, McTominay picked out Brandon Williams as a classic example of the young guns trying to make a name for themselves with the senior team.
Williams was in the starting lineup as United were held to a 0-0 draw away to AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, with McTominay noting he did exceptionally well.
“I thought he did brilliantly,” said Scott McTominay as quoted by the club's official website. “I said to him before the game to just be himself and told him he had nothing to worry about,"
“And, of course, Brandon was a big, big plus and I’m very pleased for him. To have a game like that this early in his career is great,"
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given young players chances to showcase their talent, with Tahith Chong, James Garner and Mason Greenwood all given minutes so far.
They have also received call-ups to various Under-21 sides, in what is a breakout campaign for them.
