COSAFA Men's U-17: Zambia eye semifinal slot

Zambia U-17 national team will be aiming to progress to the semifinals of the ongoing COSAFA U17 Championships when they take on South Africa in their second Group A encounter.

The young Copper Bullets thrashed Eswatini 6-0 in their opening match while South Africa was handed a 3-0 bashing at the hands of the hosts, Malawi.

Head coach Osward Mutapa believes South Africa is a good side but his team is ready for them.

"We watched them play, They are equally a good side. We are ready to meet them and this game should make us qualify to the next round," he said.

Zambia and South Africa will square off at 11:00hrs at the Moira Stadium in Malawi. Eswatini and Malawi will take to the pitch at 14:00hrs.
