Two Italian giants join Mesut Ozil race

Italian giants Inter and AC Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal.

The former German international has fallen down the pecking order at the London club, and does not seem to be part of Unai Emery's plans.

It's understood that a move in January is on the cards, even though his £350,000-a-week wages are proving to be stumbling block to any deal.

The former Real Madrid winger has been restricted to only two appearances in the new campaign across all competition, with Emery preferring the likes of Willock and Ceballos ahead of him.

The 30-year-old has a two years left on his contract that runs until 2021, but with no indications of the situation changin anytime, he might look for options elsewhere.

He has been linked with a move to Major Soccer League with DC United, to replace Wayne Rooney, who is set to leave in January.

The playmaker has also been linked with a move to Turkish side  Fenerbahce, who have been eyeing him since the summer transfer window.

Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in September 2013 in the then club record and was the club's star player until recently.
