Massimiliano Allegri is close to agreeing on a deal to become Manchester United manager according to reports.

A deal worth £6.5m a year awaits the former Juve man if United can’t close the gap between them at leaders Liverpool which is at 15 points ahead of their weekend faceoff.
Allegri is said to have already earmarked players he would want at Old Trafford should he take over with midfielder Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic among the lot.
It is further claimed that Allegri will be bringing former United old boy Patrice Evra with him at Old Trafford to help him with the quick adaptation.
Tottenham, meanwhile, is also keeping tabs on the ex-Juventus boss with the future of their own manager Mauricio Pochettino still unclear.
Pochettino is another target for United should they decide to part ways with Solskajer with the Argentine said not to be happy at Spurs.
