French moneybags Paris St Germain is set to battle Real Madrid for the services of Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Christian Eriksen next summer.
Eriksen was subject to a move last summer but a deal failed through after being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
The midfielder is believed to have turned down a new contract at Spurs and it is emerging that PSG has also entered the race to acquire the Denmark international.
According to Sportsmail, Spurs is willing to let the 27-year-old leave in the January window to recoup some cash but Eriksen will wait until the summer when he would be leaving on a free; the midfielder is able to sign a pre-contract in January for a club outside England.
PSG plans to move for him in January with a pre-contract but will have to let one of their midfielders leave to provide space for Eriksen.
The two players who are set to leave for the imminent arrival of Eriksen include Leandro Paredes, a £22.5 million signing from Zenit St Petersburg and German World Cup winner Julian Draxler.
