The wait is almost over, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will meet eThekiwni in a few hours.
Sleepy-eyed fans are still driving into Durban after long night drives from as far as Cape Town, Kimberley and Tzaneen. In all those journeys through the N1 & N2 roads in the dead of the night, two footballer’s names got sung repeatedly: Khama Billiat and Thembinkosi Lorch.
The two attacking midfielders have the quality to make the difference. The ability to decide the game in a moment.
Many of the differences between the two attackers favour the Amakhosi star. Billiat is three years older, he has played five more PSL seasons than Lorch, has three league titles including a CAF Champions League medal - but Lorch is the league’s best footballer right now: PSL Footballer of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season.
Additionally, the Bloemfontein-born player is a scorer of three goals in the last three Soweto derbies.
Lorch’s last goal against Chiefs was remarkable while Biliat’s was untidy.

Who’s in better from this season?
The answer to the above question is easily Billiat. The Zimbabwean attacker is currently on two assists and one goal in nine games.
Lorch, having started the season on a blip, has just one goal in nine. That goal came last weekend in the last 16 game against Stellenbosch FC and it was the first performance of the Lorch we watched last season. Protecting him getting a third yellow card, the 26-year-old sat out Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Highlands Park.
Will the hero be jersey number 11 or number 3 today? Asazi!
