Former Juventus manager linked with Bayern Munich after Niko Kovac sacking

Niko Kovac was shown the door after 18 months in charge at Allianz Arena with Massimiliano Allegri linked with Bayern Munich managerial job.

Bayern suffered their worst defeat of the season last weekend after going down 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt a club he previously managed before joining the Bavarians.

Bayern confirmed that Hansi Flick will take charge of Bayern's Champions League clash against Olympiacos on Wednesday, as well as next weekend's Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund.

The 5-1 defeat was only Bayern's second loss in the Bundesliga this season in 10 games as they currently sit fourth in the table, with 18 points but have already conceded 16 goals, more than anyone else in the top half.

According to AS, Bayern are eyeing the possibility of hiring former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri after the sacking of Kovac.

The Italian manager left Juventus after the end of the 2018/2019 season and was replaced by former Napoli and Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
