Deportivo Alaves have revealed that Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso is set to undergo surgery after he sustained a hand injury at the weekend, according to Ghanasoccernet.
Wakaso reportedly fractured his right hand while he featured for Alaves in their 4-2 loss against Osasuna - the operation has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 5.
The midfielder's return to action will be confirmed after his surgery, however, it remains unknown if he will feature in Ghana's 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on November 12 and 14 respectively.
The 29-year-old has played a duration of 90 minutes in all 11 matches played this season.
