The gate collections for the match between hosts AFC Leopards and Ulinzi Stars in a Kenyan Premier League match staged at the Kenyatta Stadium-Machakos on Saturday 2 November has been revealed.
The match which was to end in a goalless draw was to see Leopards pocket partly Ksh 65, 100 of the total amount collected with deductions eating a chunk of the money.
The game was the third in a day that saw the other two games involving Wazito FC, Sony Sugar, Tusker FC and Nzoia FC earlier on.
Leopards Report
In the Leopards report, a total of 774 tickets were sold with 142 being the VIPs (Ksh 42,600) and 632 Terraces (Ksh 126,400); ticket sales giving the hosts a total of Ksh 169,000.
Of the total amount, Ksh. 20,000 was used to hire the stadium, another Ksh 33,900 went to the stadium as a percentage of the total amount collected, the police walked home with Ksh. 10,000, ambulance services Ksh 8000, ball boys Ksh. 5000.
Tusker FC who were the other hosts pocketed 20% of the total amount collected (Ksh 27000); this bringing the total deductions to Ksh 103,900.
The deductions left Leopards with Ksh. 65,100 to bank.
