Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso is reportedly set to return to action for Deportivo Alaves on Wednesday after undergoing a successful operation on his hand, Goal confirmed.
Wakaso allegedly fractured the metacarpus of his right hand during Deportivo's encounter with Osasuna in the La Liga and was expected to be out of action for some time.
However, his quick recovery has given his side a boost as they are set to take on Real Valladolid on Saturday, November 9 and his expertise will come in handy.
"Wakaso Mubarak has had a procedure on a fracture in the metacarpus of his right hand that he suffered in the last match against CD Osasuna," El Glorioso announced on their official website on Tuesday.
"The procedure went on as scheduled and from tomorrow [Wednesday], he will return to training with the rest of the team."
The 29-year-old will also be a major boost for Ghana as he had been called up to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe respectively.
