Leicester City are reportedly set to loan out Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho in January over unimpressive performance at the King Power Stadium.
Iheanacho has not featured for Brendan Rodgers in the English Premier League this season but has scored two goals in the Carabao Cup.
Punch quoted HITC as reporting that Rodgers is looking for a quality back-up option to Jamie Vardy who has scored 11 goals so far this season for the Foxes and doesn’t rate Iheanacho as one.
“Expect Kelechi Iheanacho to be loaned out and a new frontman to be brought in,” the report revealed.
Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis has been linked with a move from Club Brugge to Leicester City as a replacement. Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is also a possible option.
Iheanacho, 23, joined Leicester City in 2017 and has made 64 appearances for the club netting just 11 times.
