Sporting Lisbon open to selling Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes

Portuguese Sporting Lisbon is open to selling Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes according to reports from The Sun.

Fernandez is said to have been a top target for United last summer but the English giants failed to acquire the services of the Portuguese midfielder due to a high demanding fee.

Reports indicate that Lisbon is €65m in debt and is open to selling Fernandes with the same prize so that they can sort their wage bill.

It’s certainly a somewhat reasonable price-tag and one the Red Devils should take advantage of as they bid to turn their season around.

United are looking to boost their attacking midfield options with the club currently relying on Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira in that position.

Fernandez can also play in central midfield where United have youngster Scott McTominay, Fred, Nemanja Matic, and Paul Pogba as their options; the latter said to be angling at a move in January with Inter Milan said to have shown interest.

Despite missing a move in the summer, Fernandes has continued to impress in the Portuguese league and scored in Portugal’s win over Luxembourg over the weekend.
