Kaizer Chiefs have plenty of impressive players right now, but Lebogang Manyama has revealed which individual has personally delighted him.
When a club is doing well like Chiefs (10 points clear at the top), it’s easy to name the club’s most influential footballers. To help further decide who is really one of the best, Manyama has given some insight on Dumisani Zuma.
“He’s one of the players that amazed me when I got to Chiefs,” Manyama told Kick Off.
“I’ve known him for quite a while, but obviously when you get to train with him and see how good he is, [it’s different].”
Manyama now 29 years old and a former Footballer of the Season, added that there’s a lot more coming from Zuma. The Amakhosi senior players guiding and grooming the 24-year-old.
“When it comes to Zuma, there’s so much talent; so much to improve on, and we try to push him in the right direction and I think so far so good.”
“He’s come in and changed so many games for us and, when the time came for him to start, he did very well, and I just hope he can continue the same way,” Manyama added.
Zuma, born in Pietermaritzburg, previously played for Kings United, Bloemfontein Celtic reserves and first team.
Chiefs return to action against Maritzburg United in a Telkom Knockout semi-final game this Saturday.
