Spanish giants Real Madrid are considering handing French striker Karim Benzema a new deal.
Benzema whose contract come to an end in the summer of 2021 has already notched nine goals in elevn appearance for Madrid in Laliga this season and the club are contemplating of handing him a new contract upto 2023 according to reports from Marca.
They report that negotiations are already underway between the player and Real, with an agreement still a way off.
If no deal is sealed, there would be no shortage of suitors for the 31-year-old, with Paris Saint-Germain and several Premier League clubs thought to be interested.
Benzema earlier this week caused a stir after asking the French FA to allow him represent another national team after being out in the cold for a long time.
The striker has been in Madrid since 2009 where he joined from French Ligue One side Lille OSC.
