Niko Kovac, who left Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich one month ago, is interested in taking over at Arsenal.
Kovac will attend Arsenal’s game against West Ham United on Monday according to Goal but the German has insisted that he is only in England to watch a few games.
The 48-year-old’s representatives have reportedly made contact with the Gunners to express his interest despite Kovac saying a week ago that he was taking a break from football with Borrusia Dortmund another team that he has been linked with.
Other tabloids in the UK believe Kovac is not the preferred candidate for the Arsenal hierarchy as they are in talks with a series of managers that include former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Kovac record too at Bayern Munich is said not to have impressed the Arsenal bosses after he racked up a 69% win rate and lifted three trophies in just over a year with a club like Bayern Munich who has asserted their dominance in Bundesliga.
Other managers who have been linked with the vacant position at Arsenal is their former player Patrick Vierra, Carlo Ancelotti and former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.
