England will take on Italy in a friendly clash at Wembley on Friday 27 March 2020 as part of their preparations ahead of the 2020 European Championship.
Italy is part of the championship and boasted of a 100% record in the qualification process and they should provide a sterner test for England who has been pooled alongside Croatia, the Czech Republic and the winner of a Playoff.
It will be the 28th meeting between England and four-time World Cup winners Italy, with the most recent a 1-1 draw at Wembley in 2018. The Azzurri are managed by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
Italy ranked 13th in the world, nine places below England, are not the only opponents the Gareth Southgate team will face in friendlies.
On 31 March, the 2018 World Cup semi-finalists will take on Denmark at Wembley before taking on Austria in Vienna on 2 June and Romania at home on 7 June.
