John Obuh has resigned his position as head coach of Akwa United with immediate effect.
Obuh cited indiscipline and insubordination by some of the players as the main reason for his decision to leave the club on Monday.
He alleged that some players are hell-bent to sabotage his effort at the club.
Management of the club has accepted his resignation.
Akwa United have recorded just one win from their opening eight league games this season.
The Promise Keepers are currently in 16th position in the NPFL table.
