We were desperate for a win- Nkana coach

Nkana head coach Manfred Chabinga says his side was desperate for a win following their humiliating derby loss at the hands of Power Dynamos.

Chabinga told Futaa Zambia in an interview that his side was desperate for a win after disappointing the fans who were expecting them to beat their arch-rivals.

"Last week the people we're not happy with the results, they were hoping we would beat Power Dynamos but we lost 3-0.Us and the fans were desperate for three points, We needed the maximum points which we have managed today," Chabinga said after guiding his side to a 1-0 win over Nkwazi on Sunday.

The twelve-time Super League Champions will make a 358 KM trip to Lusaka this weekend to face Napsa Stars. Chabinga is aware of the threat Muhammad Fathi's side pose and believes his side need to prepare well for the Pensioners.

"For Nkana it has never been easy, We always have to be ready. We face Napsa Stars next and we have to prepare ourselves, They are playing good football and not a pushover," he said.

Shadreck Musonda converted from the spot in the first half to give Nkana a 1-0 win over Nkwazi. Nkwazi has now gone ten games without scoring goal.
