Zambia Super League defending Champions, Zesco United have announced the signing of striker Chris Mugalu from Lusaka Dynamos.
In a statement made available to Futaa Zambia, Zesco United Chief Executive officer, Richard Mulenga confirmed that the Congolese had joined the Ndola giants with a deal having agreed as far back as July.
"Zesco United Football Club wishes to announce the signing of Congolese striker, Chris Mugalu on a two-year contract," reads part of the statement from the club.
Mulenga believes Mugalu will add a lot of firepower to the Zesco United strikeforce.
“It is with great excitement that we announce the signing of Chris Mugalu on a two-year contract. Mugalu adds to a number of marquee signing that ZESCO United has made in recent years. We are positive Mugalu will add great firepower to our striking force,” he said.
Mugalu is expected to join the club this month subject to medical examinations. Mugalu has been linked with a move away from Lusaka Dynamos for some time now.
The Congolese recently returned to training with the Elite Lusaka Dynamos side following a two months lay off due to injury.
