Zambia National team striker Emmanuel Chabula finally opened his goal account for the 2019/2020 Super League campaign as Nkwazi Football Club beat KYSA 2-0 this afternoon to put an end to their winless run.
Nkwazi came into this game on the back on an eleven match winless run and had not scored a goal in ten consecutive games. KYSA was looking to get back to winning ways following their 6-1 humiliation by Green Eagles last weekend.
The match started off on a slow note with both sides failing to create clear cut chances. Nkwazi had the best chance in the first half but Eric Chomba failed reacted late and Patrick Chooma was quick to deal with the threat to make sure the match went to the break level at 0-0.
Nkwazi broke the deadlock 20 minutes into the second half as Jeff Banda reacted quickly to a cross slotting home from close range to put the Zambia Police sponsored out-fit in the lead.
Chabula doubled the lead five minutes to time netting a beautiful header to seal a 2-0 win taking their point tally to 13. The win is the first that Nkwazi has recorded in their last eleven games.
