French-born Ghanaian defender Enock Kwateng is thrilled with Girondins Bordeaux's impressive start to the year after securing a 2-0 victory over Le Mans in the French Cup, Ghanasoccernet reported.
Kwateng was part of the matchday squad and came off the bench in the 65th minute as the side progressed to the next round of the competition.
"Very happy to have found minutes and completion! Well done guys, 2020 has a good start! Work continues.
"Thank you to all the supporters for the strength you give me every day! I will continue to fight. Go, Bordeaux," he posted on Twitter after the game.
Jimmy Briand's penalty in the 53rd minute and Toma Basic's goal in extra time was all Bordeaux needed to progress further.
Kwateng has been at the centre of transfer news as his former club FC Nantes are considering the possibility of resigning him in the ongoing January window.
The 22-year-old has featured in eight games in Ligue 1 and made one appearance in the French Cup.
