Joe Debrah says Ghana Premier League referees will be more stricter

Chairman of the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) Joe Debrah has revealed that the referees will be firm and deliver fair officiating in this year's Ghana Premier League season.

The former referee believes that the referees have improved in their duties and will hope they are consistent in their officiating so that the fans can go back to enjoying football.

“I am very confident my referees would do very well this season but regardless of my confidence in them, they are humans and are prone to mistakes but with the training, they have received over the past months I believe they will do a good job,’’ he told GNA Sports.

Debrah heaped praises on the new Ghana FA administration for clearing all the debt that was looming on them after the referees had gone unpaid for months.

He further added that clubs should be composed and allow referees to do their job and avoid resorting to unreasonable means to get their points across.
