Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sweating on the fitness of a number of his players ahead of the titanic clash against Liverpool on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw are major doubts for the tie, with the striker set to be observed in the next 48 hours or so.
Shaw missed the replay against Wolves in midweek but could be in the team for Sunday's clash, even though United can rely on Brandon Williams who has been exceptional in recent weeks.
“I can't tell you now,” Ole replied when asked about their no.10’s chances of featuring, during his pre-match press conference.
“As I said with Harry [Maguire] a few weeks ago, of course, we're going to give him the absolute amount of time to find out.
“We're going to do some more checks and treatment with him today. Yesterday of course was just a recovery day anyway and some treatment for him.
Marcos Rojo and Scott McTominay are still on the sidelines and will miss the match same as Paul Pogba.
The French international underwent an ankle surgery at the start of the month, while Axel Tuanzebe is on the road to recovery after a month out.
The team has however been boosted by the return of Eric Bailly, who might make a return against Liverpool following his full recovery.
The Ivory Coast international has been out since April 2019 with a knee injury, even though he recovered only to suffer a setback just before the start of the current campaign.
