With Liverpool headed for their first league title since 1990, Jurgen Klopp has admitted that they are not about to start on an era of all-conquering dominance.
Ferguson had a highly successful stint at United, winning 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns before finally retiring in 2013.
Liverpool finished last season as league runners up, missing out on the title by a single point but won the Champions League and are on course for their first Premier League title.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of the United clash, Klopp did not feel he can replicate Ferguson's domination, "To be honest, I don't think it is possible to get to their level of dominance ever again.
"It is now more likely that the other clubs will compete for different things because of the financial power of a lot of teams.
"This kind of up and down changes of the squad (we see now) means a dominance like Liverpool and United had before is unlikely."
Klopp has just one Champions League triumph with the Reds so far, but are overwhelming favorites to add the Premier League to his haul, with a young side he believes can only get better.
