Mathare United has confirmed the signing of full Swaleh Chacha from Bandari FC on a season-long.
Chacha becomes Mathare United second signing in the January window after that of South Sudan striker Dani Lual from Altabara FC; the latter having signed with the slum boys last year but was allowed to complete his season with his club.
Chacha is a product of the Bandari Youth team but left the club’s senior side two seasons ago in search for more playing time with Sony Sugar FC granting him that opportunity. He was to return to his parent club after the ouster of Sony from the league.
The Salim Ali coached side is expected to rope a few more players in this window after losing striker Chris Ochieng to Tusker FC.
Already a series of known names have been thrown around with former AFC Leopards midfielder Khalid Jumaan among the players being considered by the club.
Placed tenth on the Kenyan Premier League log with 24 points, Mathare is currently preparing for a tussle against Zoo FC in their next league tie.
