Jurgen Klopp's speaks on Takumi Minamino's Liverpool Premier League debut

After making his Premier League debut in the 1-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Jurgen Klopp admitted it was a "difficult" night for Takumi Minamino.

Sadio Mane picked up an injury in the first half and was withdrawn in the 33rd minute for Minamino who joined Liverpool from Red Bull Salzburg this month.

The Japan international finished the entire game but Klopp confirmed that he picked up an injury in his first Premier League game.

Speaking in a press conference after the win over Wolves, Klopp gave a verdict on Minamino's Liverpool debut, "It was really difficult for Taki.

"He felt immediately his calf, he needed treatment at half-time. That was, for his first Premier League game, exceptional."

Klopp also provided an injury update on Mane, "Sadio is a real shame he had to go off. Hopefully, it’s not too bad -just a muscle tweak but we will see tomorrow.

"It’s difficult enough. Sunday Shrewsbury, Wednesday West Ham, Saturday Southampton. That’s tough. We have to find solutions for all the games and that’s probably without Sadio."
