Wazito 0-3 Posta Rangers: Captain Mbugi and Kisiavuki spoil Isuza's debut

Wazito FC were humiliated by Posta Rangers at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Saturday 25th following a 3-0 loss.

An evening for Whyvonne Isuza to forget as his Wazito debut was spoiled by visiting Rangers. Issifou Bourahana put the ball in his own net in the third minute before captain Joseph Mbugi made it 2-0 from the spot in the second half. Isuza came close to grabbing a goal on his debut but his strike could on hit the woodwork with Clinton Kisiavuki making it 3-0 in the stoppage time from a rebound. 

Posta Ranger took an early lead from a free-kick. Joseph Mbugi stepped up to take the free-kick after Rangers forward was fouled outside the danger area on the left flank. A well-delivered came straight to Kevin Omondi who opted to punch the ball and it hit Issifou Bourahana before kissing the back of the net. 

The visitors continued to attack and Clinton Kisiavuki had the chance to make it two-nil but his strike rattled the side-net from close range. 

The hosts starting settling into the game and made a number of attacks with Dennis Ng'ang'a forcing a Rangers' keeper Jairus Adira to make a save. Just before half time, there was a huge penalty appeal from Wazito as Musa Masika appeared to be brought down in the penalty area but the centre referee waved played on. 

Penalty 

Ezekiel Okare was put through on goal on the left-wing, he made a run but was brought down by Johnstone Omurwa and the referee pointed to the spot. Captain Mbugi stepped up to take it and he sent Kevin Omondi on the right, placing the ball on the left to make it 2-0. 

Isuza could have grabbed a goal on his debut for Wazito as he was put through on goal. He took a touch on the right side but his strike rattled the crossbar. 

In the stoppage time, Rangers put the game to bed through Clinton Kisiavuki. The visitors exchanged a number of passes with Omondi saving the initial shot but Kisiavuki capitalized on the rebound to put the game beyond Wazito's reach.
