Nkana has moved to the summit of the log following a 3-0 win over Buildcon while Lusaka Dynamos continued their winning run as they beat Power Dynamos to end their seven-match unbeaten run.
Nkana welcomed Team Kopala this afternoon and were looking to continue their dominance over the Ndola based side having never lost to then since they won promotion to the Super League in 2017.
Kenyan midfielder Duke Abuya opened his Nkana account just ten minutes into the match to put the hosts in the lead. Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba doubled the lead two minutes to half time to put Nkana in full control of the match.
Shadreck Musonda added a third in the second half to seal an emphatic three-nil win.
Meanwhile, in Lusaka, Power Dynamos suffered their first defeat at the hands of Lusaka Dynamos.
In-form Baba Basile continued his scoring run and put the hosts in the lead nine minutes into the match. Power leveled matters two minutes later as goalkeeper Monga Ndala poor clearance hit Larry Bwalya to hand Abayellow a chance to equalize, 1-1.
Lusaka Dynamos took the lead at the half-hour mark as Faustin Bakodila turned Emmanuel Habasimbi's cross into his own net. In the second half, Lusaka Dynamos held on to win the match and move up to the eighth place.
