After collapsing during the Ligue 1 clash against Toulouse, Lyon have confirmed that Martin Terrier has ‘regained consciousness’.
Terrier went down without any contact as Lyon’s medical staff rushed on to treat the 22-year-old forward in the 20th minute at the Groupama Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Frenchman lay motionless on the turf before being stretchered off the field where he received further treatment and was replaced by Karl Toko Ekambi.
Lyon took to Twitter at half time to release an official statement on Terrier’s well-being and confirmed the youngster was recovering well.
The French giants uploaded a picture of Terrier in action with the caption, "Martin Terrier was the victim earlier of a fainting incident. Our player is better and has regained consciousness."
