Everton have officially confirmed their twelfth departure of the season in the form of Antony Evans who has gone on to join SC Paderborn 07 on a permanent deal.
Evans struggled to make an impact at the club which led to no first-team appearances and was eventually out of contract in July - the move elsewhere was inevitable.
The 21-year-old will now follow Jonjoe Kenny in the Bundesliga - he was shipped out on loan in the summer of 2019 to Schalke 04.
Paderborn, however, are not looking good at the moment as they 17th on the Bundesliga table having accumulated 15 points from 19 matches played - Evans will have to work very hard to push the team the best way he can.
Only Vfl Wolfsburg (20) and Fortuna Duesseldorf (18) have scored fewer league goals that Paderborn (23), so their interest in Evans was likely to inject some much-needed creativity into the side – the attacking-midfielder contributed 11 goals in 15 games for Everton u23s this season.
Evans has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at the Benteler Arena and will now have the likes of Abdelhamid Sabiri, Marlon Ritter and Sebastian Vasiliadis for competition in the playmaker role.
