📝 Arsenal 4-0 Newcastle: How did we rate the Gunners starting XI out of 10?

Arsenal got their first Premier League win since New Year's Day as a second-half blitz blew Newcastle away on a rainy afternoon in London.

How did we rate Mikel Arteta's players individually?

🇩🇪 Bernd Leno 6.5

Untroubled for most of the afternoon, but made a solid 14th-minute save after a Sean Longstaff shot was wickedly deflected by teammate Dani Ceballos.

🇪🇸 Héctor Bellerín 6.5

Looks sharper and sharper with more games under his belt after a long-term injury.

🇩🇪 Shkodran Mustafi 7

Careless in possession at times in the first half, but won pretty much all of his aerial battles in the second.

🇧🇷 David Luiz 7.5

Confident and assured throughout, bailing teammates out of trouble on one or two occasions.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Bukayo Saka 8.5

Another astonishingly assured display from the 18-year-old, who picked up an assist after a cheeky nutmeg and proved to be a constant thorn in Newcastle's side.

🇨🇭 Granit Xhaka 7

Picked up a needless booking in the first half, but sorted his discipline out and kept possession ticking over in the second half with minimum fuss.

🇪🇸 Dani Ceballos 8

In a deeper midfield role, the Spaniard ran the show in the second half until he was substituted with 82 minutes on the clock. His chemistry with Mesut Özil kept Arsenal ticking.

🇨🇮 Nicolas Pépé 8.5

A goal and two assists for Arsenal's record signing. Probably the best player on the park outside of Saka.

🇩🇪 Mesut Özil 7.5

Provided more thrust and creativity in the second half as he combined nicely with Pépé, and got on the score sheet after a 35-pass move, tucking home a smart Lacazette assist. That's his first goal in 25 games.

🇬🇦 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 7.5

A brilliant far-post header from Pepe's hanging cross put Arsenal in front and the Gabonese striker was a constant threat in the second half down Arsenal's left flank.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Eddie Nketiah 6

Missed a sitter in the first half and that looked to affect his confidence. Not a great showing for the 20-year-old but will be glad to get a start under his belt.

🇫🇷 Alexandre Lacazette 7.5

A goal and an assist for the Frenchman will do wonders for his confidence after nine games without scoring.
