Ghana international John Boye has been named as one of the best defenders in France after 24 matches played in Ligue 1, Ghanasoccernet revealed.
According to statistics revealed by football agency Wyscout; Boye has been tipped as better than all the top defenders in top sides such as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Marseille and Lyon respectively.
The Ghanaian who plays for Metz has become one of the strongest defenders in the club as well as in Ligue 1 as per Wyscout.
According to the statistics, the 32-year-old has made 7.1 interceptions after 24 matches played while Toulouse left-back Issiaga Sylla comes at a close 6.97.
Boye has also had an 84% pass completion rate and has kept 9 clean sheets this season.
He joined Metz as a free agent from Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor back in 2018 after the club decided to not hand him a new contract.
The Black Stars defender has also made the mosts appearances 21 for Metz this season following goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja who has made 24 respectively.
He has scored one goal and accumulated 8 yellow cards in the ongoing campaign.
