Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his side will miss the services of midfielder Wilfred Ndidi when they take on Manchester City over the weekend.
Ndidi who has been on the sidelines with a knee injury suffered another setback and Rodgers has declared the midfielder is not ready to return to action. The Nigerian has missed the last two games by the Foxes due to a knee injury, a relapse from an initial injury he needed surgery for.
Ahead of the weekend's clash, Rodgers said, "Wilf won’t be available for the weekend. He’s still in a process to try and get fit, so we’ll see how he is next week. I’m not sure."
"He’s doing work inside, but you then have to progress that to outside and then when he can join the team. It’s another intensity to join the team and then to play. We just want to make sure he’s right because he’s such an important player for us. It’s about the long term, too. There’s no timeline on it. We’ll see how he progresses."
Leicester will host City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday starting from 8:30 PM EAT.
