Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen has been slammed by Italian legends Pablo di Canio and former Italy boss Fabio Capello.
Eriksen who started the game on the bench had a cold cameo role in the game the former West Ham star Di Canio saying that the Danish midfielder would become a problem for Conte in the long run.
“Eriksen will become a problem for Conte. He is not like Diego Costa, with whom you can fight if you don't let him play.
“He is a guy like Hazard: he is silent, you don't see him much, he never complains, but it is difficult to have a direct and frank confrontation with Eriksen in Tottenham had the chance to lose dangerous balls because there were those who ran for him, at Inter they can't afford breaks. He doesn't jump the opponent in one to one fight, he doesn't have speed in his legs,” Di Canio told Sky Italia.
On his part, Capello accused Eriksen of being slow and proposed that the midfielder would only do well as a club director.
“Italian football is not very fast but Eriksen has never been very fast in his career. I think he can do well as a director, like Andrea Pirlo at Juventus and not as a half-wing. He does not have the speed to be a box to box player.
Antonio Conte's side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Juventus in a table-topping clash at the summit of Serie A that was played behind closed doors amid fears over the coronavirus.
