Forest Rangers remained on the top of the league without kicking a ball last weekend, though NAPSA Stars moved dangerously close to the summit of the Zambia Super League.
Green Eagles and NAPSA Stars met for the game of the weekend as position two and three on the table. The clash did not disappoint the Choma crowd with three goals scored: Eagles 1-2 NAPSA.
Leaders Rangers sat the weekend out after their fixture with Zanaco was postponed to allow the latter to partake in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The champions, Zesco United, failed to put pressure at the top after a lackluster 1-1 draw at home to Green Buffaloes while Nkana FC and Nkana FC moved into the top four after beating Kabwe United.
At the bottom half of the table, Mufulira showed signs of life with a morale boosting 3-0 win over Red Arrows - but fellow relegation-strugglers could not earn the same favour.
