Danny Drinkwater future at Aston Villa is in doubt after the player was sent home following a training ground bust-up with teammate Jota.
Reports from the PA Agency News indicates that the midfielder who is on loan from Aston Villa is likely to be fined but any further punishment is yet to be discussed.
This is not the first incident for the midfielder this season with the first incident coming when he was involved into an altercation in a nightclub which sidelined him during his loan at Burnley.
Since his arrival at Villa, the 30-year-old Premier League winner has made four appearances for his team since his loan move from Chelsea in January and is ineligible to face his parent club when they travel to Villa Park on Saturday.
He has played just 12 times for Chelsea in two seasons after joining from Leicester in 2017 and is considered as a surplus to requirement by Frank Lampard who is said to be open in letting him go on a permanent deal in the summer.
The incident just compounds to Villa troubles with the club doing all they can to avoid going straight back to the Championship; Villa currently sitting second bottom in the Premier League after four straight defeats.
