Reports from the Punch suggest that Sunshine Stars players and officials have moaned over the 'short-payment, deduction and non-payment of a month's salary by the Ondo State Football Agency.
With the Nigerian Football League suspended due to Coronavirus, it is reportedly Sunshine players and officials have suffered a 45% salary deduction for the month of January. Further reports indicate that they have not received the February payment.
As reported by The PUNCH, the deductions on the players and officials were carried out by the secretary and accountant of ODSFA who work in the Ondo State civil service.
"Can’t you see that the club has not won a game since we were last paid," Sunshine defender said as reported by the Punch.
"It’s been difficult for the players to take because several agreements have not been met. I got a salary deduction close to 45 percent and we are yet to be paid our salary for last month," he added.
The Akure Gunners have only registered two wins in their last NPFL games while picking a single draw and they currently lie ninth on the log.
