Atletico Madrid have announced the tragic death of academy player Christian Minchola.
The youngster, who has been prolific for the U-14 side with over 50 goals, died on Saturday, with the cause of his death yet to be known.
"Atlético de Madrid is mourning the passing of our U14 player Christian Minchola. We join in the grief of his family, teammates, and friends. May he rest in peace," read a post on the club's official Twitter account.

The club's president Enrique Cerezo led other club officials and players in paying tribute for the highly-regarded forward;
He said: "We are shocked by the sad news of the death of our player and deeply regret his loss.
"Atletico Madrid and the entire athletic family will be next to Christian's family and friends in these moments of immense pain," he added.
Minchola has been with the Madrid club for six seasons now, having joined the academy in the 2013-14 season.
