Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has reportedly agreed to join Turkish Super Lig Trabzonspor according to Team Talk reports.
Turkish newspaper Fotomac reported that Trabzonspor are looking for a replacement for former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel who terminated his contract in March.
The report also claims that Nakamba is eager to move to the Turkish Super Lig in a bid to play Champions League football.
The 26-year-old joined Villa from Club Brugge for €12m in the summer of 2019, and he has made 26 appearances for the Villans.
In October 2019, the club released “disgusted and appalled” by social media footage which showed fans chanting what was believed to be a racist song.
Villa said in a statement: “Aston Villa is disgusted and appalled by footage circulating on social media of supporters chanting a racist song which makes reference to two of our first-team players.
“The club wholly condemns the chant and urges other supporters to help us identify those responsibly.”
