Obi Mikel has revealed he is in talks with a Brazilian side Botafogo over a possible move to the Rio de Janeiro club.
Mikel is without a club since his contract was terminated by the Turkish League side Trabzonspor last month. Botafogo switched their attention to the former Chelsea midfielder after missing out on Yaya Toure.
"Yes there has been an interest and yes there have been negotiations," he told ESPN.
"But I don’t know yet. I am still thinking about it. Not sure yet," he added.
The 32-year-old made 19 league appearances for Trabzonspor before termination of his contract.
