Chipolopolo coach Milutin Sredojevic believes that attitude, desire and tactics cost Zambia in the opening AFCON 2021 losses.
During a chat with Sports Cafe, the Serbian coach looked back on the results where Zambia lost 2-1 to Zimbabwe and 5-0 to Algeria.
“I have divided that failure into two parts. Our players in their facial expression, hand gesture and body posture I did not see the right approach to represent 17 million Zambians,” Micho said.
“I have analyzed the tactical approach and the technical execution and flare were missing. We have been working on how to put all the puzzles together so that we go where we want to go (AFCON 2021).
The former Uganda national side coach concluded his views by stating what is needed to steer Chipolopolo to successfully qualify for AFCON 2021 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“What was good needs to be kept and upgraded and what was wrong needs to be really corrected,” he added
“We need to make our players believe that we are capable and able. We have four games and 12 points to fight for but their facial expressions and body language need to change,” concluded Micho.
