Despite the restrictions put in place due to the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus, a fan managed to invade the pitch in FC Barcelona’s win over Mallorca on Saturday.
Just before the 53rd minute, a fan snuck onto the pitch much to the bemusement of the players on the field before the security managed to get the crazed supporter off the field.
The fan was wearing an Argentina shirt and attempted to get a selfie with Lionel Messi who provided two assists and a goal.
In the game, Barcelona took the lead inside two minutes through Arturo Vidal before the visitors doubled their lead through Martin Braithwaite after an assist from Messi.
Left-back Alba looked to have scored the final goal of the game, 11 minutes from time after another assist from Messi but the Barcelona captain had other ideas when he added a fourth, gliding past two players inside the box before finishing with his right foot.
The win extended Barca’s lead at the top of the Laliga log to five points ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid who entertains Eibar on Sunday.
