Senegal international Mbaye Diagne is set to end his miserable stay at FC Brugge and rejoin Turkish side Galatasaray, Turkish media reports.
Media reports indicate that the former Galatasaray hitman will return to Turkey and the star himself hinted on this move through an Instagram post.
"I can't want to wait any longer to play. And this will be in Turkey, inchallah, "he posted.
In a May interview, Mbaye had said that he didn't understand why he was sold despite being the best striker at the Turkish side.
Diagne's goal haul helped Galatasaray win the 2018/2019 title and he was largely used as the club's main striker enjoying a lot of game time.
However, at the end of the season, the Turkish club announced that former Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao will be joining them and so they had to look for space for him. They, inexplicably, decided to sacrifice Diagne to make room for the Colombian.
His stay at the Belgian side, however, has not been smooth as he was fined and suspended by the club manager Philippe Clement for ignoring instructions and missing a penalty in a Champions League match against PSG.
