French Ligue 1 side, Stade Rennes have registered their keen interest in Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku, Football Ghana reported.
Rennes are reportedly preparing a bid of €7m to approach Amiens in the summer transfer after they failed to secure their main target Mohammed Salisu.
Amiens who have been relegated to Ligue 2 are reportedly working on a plan to sign Opoku on a permanent deal and potentially loan him out in a bid to sell him to the highest bidder.
The 22-year-old joined Amiens on loan from Serie A side Udinese with his contract set to expire on June 30, 2020, however, he continued to fall out of favour under manager Luca Gotti.
A permanent move away from Udinese will be ideal for the Ghanaian youngster ahead of the summer.
